Amaze Bargains Hub

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026.

Introduction

Amaze Bargains Hub is run by YogiGunner, who is the data controller. Contact: contact@amazebargainshub.co.uk. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

Visitors: you do not need an account to browse. When you click a deal link we record the time, which deal it was, the country (from your connection), whether you used a phone or computer, and the website you came from (domain only). We do not store your IP address and cannot identify you from this data. We use it to see which deals are useful.

Members: when you create an account we store your nickname, your email address, a scrambled (hashed) version of your password, and the date you joined. If you comment, we store your comments with your nickname. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Newsletter (optional): only if you tick the box, we record that you agreed, when, and the exact wording you agreed to. Before sending any newsletter we will ask you to confirm your address by email. Every email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can also switch it off on your account page.

Hosting logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes requests (including IP addresses and browser details) to deliver and protect the site.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you log in, one strictly necessary cookie keeps you logged in. More on the cookies page.

Third-party links and Amazon

Deal links lead to Amazon.co.uk. Amazon may set its own cookies and collect data once you are on its site, under Amazon's own privacy notice. We do not currently take part in the Amazon Associates Programme. We do not sell your data.

Why and on what basis

Accounts and comments: to provide the community features you asked for (contract). Click statistics and keeping the site safe, including moderation: our legitimate interests. Newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Data retention

Account data and comments are kept until you delete your account. Login sessions last 30 days. Anonymous click statistics are kept in aggregate form. Records of newsletter consent are kept for as long as needed to show that you agreed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, or to object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account and all your comments yourself on the account page, or email us. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children's privacy

The site is not directed at children. Accounts are for people aged 16 or over, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us their data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new date at the top.
